Online Medical Summer School (Ages 16+)

The three-week course has been designed by doctors to give you insight into a range of medical careers as well as how you can successfully apply to study medicine at university.  The programme is delivered through a combination of small online group classes (maximum 10 students), individual tutoring, personal mentoring and supplementary e-learning resources.

Week One: Building Foundations

Develop an understanding of different medical careers and different study options.  Sessions include; the role of a doctor, choosing a medical school, and problem-based learning tasks.

Week Two: Conquering Applications

During the second week, you’ll learn more about the application process and how to stand out as a candidate.  Sessions focus on personal statements and an overview of the BMAT and UCAT.

Week Three: Succeeding at Interview

The final week of the courses examines the interview process.  You’ll consider medical ethics and current topics such as Covid-19 that are likely to be asked about at the interview stage of medical applications.
