Frazer Carr

Student Support Manager

Following a rewarding summer as a College Mentor for SBC, Frazer chose to join the Head Office team in November 2016 so he could play a more integral role in providing unforgettable summer experiences for students from around the world.

As Lead Student Support Manager for Oxford College, he spends much of his time throughout the year supporting the parents, guardians and agents of students. Frazer also organises various parts of the social programme, including transport arrangements and on-site activities. His enduring goal is inspired by the words of one SBC parent: ‘To help build a future tolerant, smart and constructive generation’.

Frazer graduated from the University of Southampton with a First-Class Honours Degree in Philosophy BA (Hons) in 2016. Away from work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising and travelling to new destinations around the world.

We asked Frazer the following questions:

What do you love about SBC?
SBC provides consistently positive experiences for every student—not just academically, but personally and socially too (the feedback I get from students and parents confirms this!)

If you were a student, what SBC subject would you choose to study this Summer?
I would definitely take advantage of Academic Discovery at Oxford College where you can study one subject per week, meaning that you are exposed to a wider range of courses!

My choices would be Law and International Relations.

What’s your top UK Summer travel tip?
You need to try rowing as part of the Social Wellbeing Programme at Oxford College—you couldn’t get more traditional and it’s lots of fun! Also try English Breakfast & Cream Tea, you won’t be disappointed.

What’s your one piece of advice for students this Summer?
Be open-minded, actively engage with new people from different backgrounds and share your interests!
