Oxford International Social Programme

Social Programme

The Social Programme at Oxford College Summer School is specially designed for older teenagers, incorporating activities and events that encourage communication, give a taster of university life, and build life-long friendships.

The afternoon Social Programme gives students the opportunity to participate in a range of recreational activities and continue to develop their English speaking skills in a fun and sociable environment. As well as an initial tour of Oxford, students at Oxford College Summer School spend two afternoons each week enjoying the cultural opportunities the city has to offer. After exploring the museums and historical Oxford colleges, students can spend their time with friends absorbing Oxford’s vibrant and exciting atmosphere.

Students will also have the chance to use the fantastic facilities at our SBC Oxford Summer School, located just a short walk away, for sports such as swimming and tennis. In addition, other sporting activities can be played in one of the charming university parks nearby.

The evening Social Programme is a very important part of the summer school experience, as it brings the students together to socialise in a relaxed and entertaining environment. Evening activities include:

Our Social Programme also includes evenings out in the beautiful city of Oxford. Evening trips out include:

Formal Dinner & Graduation

Additionally, all students will attend a Formal Dinner and Graduation Ceremony at the end of their stay, located at one of the beautiful local venues Oxford has to offer. After a formal dining experience, all students will receive their Certificate and Course Report during the Graduation Ceremony. Students will then celebrate together during a Graduation party, to conclude an unforgettable evening.
