Our academic programme at Wellington College consists of 15 hours tuition per week. Tuition is delivered through a combination of classroom based lessons, workshops and guest speakers. At the end of each week students will give a Time to Shine presentation to showcase their learning from the week and to further develop their presenting skills in English.
All Summer Boarding Courses at Wellington College students will undertake 10 hours of leadership development each week. The leadership programme is designed to give students the opportunity to develop key leadership skills including reflection, creativity, inspiring others and decision-making. Through a combination of lectures, practical workshops and reflection students will begin their journey to becoming the leaders of tomorrow.
The programme recognises that there are two key branches to good leadership – a clear sense of self and the ability to bring others with you. Students will be guided to reflect on their purpose, values, what they want to achieve and what kind of leader they aspire to be.
At the end of their course, all students will deliver a group presentation as part of their Time to Shine project. The presentation is designed to showcase their learning from the previous week, and build their confidence to present in English.
The accommodation at Wellington College comprises of two boarding houses – one for boys and one for girls. Students will have their own, or a twin bedroom study-bedroom, with shared bathroom facilities.
Summer Boarding Courses at Wellington College is committed to offering students a safe and secure environment in which they can thrive socially and academically.
