Every year, Summer Boarding Courses is honored to offer a small number of academic summer school scholarships. To support our vision, the scholarship scheme aims to academically benefit students who would not otherwise have access to our international summer school experience.
Our named memorial scholarships were established in memory of two special babies: The Louis Albrecht Memorial Scholarship is available for male students and The Connie Townsend Memorial Scholarship is available for female students.
In Summer 2019, to celebrate our 10th Birthday, SBC are awarding 10 scholarships to international students aged 11-17.
21 scholarship places awarded since 2016
Students from 16 countries
We are extremely proud of the previous winners of our summer school scholarships.

This Summer I won a scholarship at Oxford College Summer School and was able to study Medicine at Wycliffe Hall. During my time with SBC I was able to learn about different cultures of people from different countries and this allowed me to become a better person and accept other people’s views. Similarly, it also allowed me to reinforce my potential and dream to become a doctor and study medicine at university.Kevan, Former Medicine Student at Oxford College Summer School, 16 from Eritrea.

You will also need to submit an accompanying statement from your teacher in support of your application. This statement is a recommendation letter to vouch for your skills and achievements. We require the teacher to sign and date this statement, and that he/she also provide contact details. Please email this to: Fay.Powell@summerboardingcourses.co.uk
Stage 2: Once the scholarship committee has considered all entries, successful Stage 1 applicants will be informed by the 25th February 2019. Being a part of SBC has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. In SBC, I got the opportunity to learn, improve and develop different aspects of English in an organised and supportive environment and make unforgettable memories with new friends from all over the world. I encourage others to apply to have the same experience that I had.Suman, Scholarship Student, Nepal
