Academic Programme

The Spring Leadership School at Headington Oxford offers students 15 hours of English tuition per week. Students can choose between our General English, Business or Science courses. All classes at are multi-national with a maximum of 15 students per class.

Spring School’s Academic Programme offers three exciting courses, each of which uses project-based learning to improve our students’ communicative skills, collaborative skills and presentation skills in General English, Business and Science. Each course is structured around our Time to Shine syllabus, meaning that students at the end of each week will have the opportunity to present their projects in our Time to Shine Ceremony.

General English

The General English programme at our Spring School develops the communicative skills of our students when listening and speaking in English. Using a student-centred, project-driven custom pedagogy, the focus of the course is for students to work together to complete fun and communicative teamwork challenges. Through these collaborative projects, students will develop their communicative confidence, as well as their vocabulary and grammar.

Business

The Business programme at our Spring School focuses on both business skills and business knowledge. Over the duration of the course, students will participate in assignments and projects which will develop an understanding of how businesses work in practice. These projects culminate in the students’ design and presentation of their own product and start-up company.

Science

Each scientific discipline – chemistry, biology and physics are given equal attention during the course, so that a balanced understanding of the physical universe is created.
