SBC is the most amazing summer school to bring together all children across the worldLilly, Student, German
Summer school courses are part of a student’s educational journey. Whether developing their English language skills to improve their grades at school, preparing to study at school or university in the UK, or moving to an international school, everyone will have different needs.
Our courses are designed to help develop key transferable skills alongside English language learning to support these transitions. Building confidence in speaking, developing presentation and independent learning skills, and nurturing teamwork and cross-cultural skills, are all important parts of our summer courses.
The summer school is wonderful where I can study and meet new friends. This summer school is enjoyable and memorableEmily, Student, Hong Kong
In an ever-changing world, it is important for children and young adults to develop an awareness and empathy for global issues. Whether environmental, political or economic, different cultures will always have different views.
By creating a truly multinational environment, with students from over 100 different countries, our students can become global citizens. They will have the opportunity to make friends with other students from different countries and cultures!
Whether looking towards future study or employment, the development of transferable skills is really important. Students will have the opportunity to develop a number of skills when they are with us, both inside and outside of the classroom.
Examples from our summer schools including building communications skills while making friends with students who speak a different language, learning time management to ensure that they arrive promptly to a house meeting, and team work as they collaborate to deliver a “Time to Shine” presentation.
